After the long-awaited and quite revolutionarily PeopleTools 8.50, Oracle announced PeopleTools 8.51. With this release Oracle will enhance PeopleTools and add some new features that will be a great markup for PeopleSoft in general.

This post contains snippets from the RVP, which I think will have a great added value to the PeopleSoft application.

As of PeopleTools 8.50, Oracle introduced Generic Prompting for process definitions. With this feature the creation of runcontrol pages has become obsolete. PeopleBooks describes the ability of Generic Prompting, but does not give an example how to achieve this, nore does DMO provided an example.

This post describes the steps needed to get Generic Prompting working properly.
